Details About Data & Privacy

The General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) is a regulation in EU law on data protection and privacy for all individuals within the European Union and the European Economic Area. It became enforceable on 25 May 2018.

This site is built using Hugo, a static site generator, which offers some options in managing third-party servies. This site has integrated Google Analytics (to understand user content preferences) and YouTube (to serve video content).

Links are provided to other services, such as Twitter and Facebook, but these services are not integrated with MissGinsu.com.

Here are the settings for the current integrations:

GoogleAnalytics

Privacy is enabled for GoogleAnalytics through anonymized IP addresses and respect of the “Do Not Track” request. Page view analytics for visitor sessions are tracked through anonymized cookies. See the Google Analytics website for more details on how they store and utilize information.

Anonymizing the IP:

Enabled this option to make it so that visitor IP addresses are anonymized within Google Analytics.

Respecting Do Not Track:

Enabled this option to ensure that Google Analytics templates respect the “Do Not Track” HTTP header.

Session Storage:

Currently using cookies to track anonymized site activity using the GA Client ID.

YouTube

Using Privacy Enhanced Mode:

By utilizing “Privacy Enhanced Mode”, YouTube won’t store information about visitors the website unless the user plays the embedded video. See the YouTube website for more details on how they store and utilize information.

Disqus

Privacy is enabled for Disqus. See the Disqus website for more details on how they store and utilize information.
